I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dichtbijzee with my family for a memorable vacation. The hotel is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by vast dunes, offering a sense of tranquility and remote beauty that feels like the very edge of the earth. Despite its seclusion, we found it only a 2-minute walk to the bus stop, making accessibility straightforward for day trips, including a scenic half-hour ride to West Terschelling. Our family particularly enjoyed the generous breakfast provided by the attentive staff, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even packing us a lovely meal for our early departure. The children enjoyed the ample space for their adventures, and I appreciated the cable programming available in our room for some relaxing evenings. One evening, we ventured into the nearby dunes and were rewarded with breathtaking views of the Milky Way, a fantastic experience that was both thrilling and peaceful for the entire family. I recommend dining at De Heeren van Der Schelling, just a short walk away, which added to our delightful stay. Dichtbijzee is an excellent choice for families seeking a welcoming atmosphere and memorable experiences.
